53. I had shingles before.
(I just wanted to post this because the commerical keeps coming on. Trying to get back to this countdown.)
If you don’t know what shingles are, they are not the things on the roof but:
Shingles is a painful skin rash. It is caused by the varicella zoster virus. Shingles usually appears in a band, a strip, or a small area on one side of the face or body. It is also called herpes zoster.
(WebMD)
Older people get them. Not someone who is in middle school. I don’t remember them being painful so much as being weirdly on the side of my body and on my back. I really don’t remember much of the symptoms but I do remember 1) it took me sometime to tell my mother that I had this weird rash on my body & 2) to get to the doctor.
I was in my early teens. I didn’t know what the fuck it was. It looked like scabs which made it worse since I tried to pick at them. After figuring out what they were, I had to go through the process of oatmeal baths again like I had chickenpox. I couldn’t go around my cousin either since she was pregnant at the time.
I’m a weird sick person. I don’t understand how I get sick in these ways. I had pnemonia and then I had a really bad health scare that only a few people know about that happened last year. I either have a wonky immune system or I stress myself out too much.
Okay…I’ll stop grossing you all out and post some BigBang and T.O.P.
